Woodlands Lodge is a haven of peace and tranquility, nestling in the beautiful New Forest.
The original house was built in 1580, however records show the house was extensively rebuilt in 1770 and was used as a Royal Hunting Lodge, reputedly owned by the Duchy of Westminster. It has been sympathetically converted to offer guests the best in modern facilities whilst retaining the atmosphere and charm of an English country home.
The well appointed rooms are en-suite with whirlpool baths, king size beds and satellite television. All are individually decorated and some have garden views or even real flame gas fires.
Why not relax in the extensive grounds, try your hand at the full size garden chess or take a stroll through the New Forest heath and woodland, which are directly accessible from the grounds.
The elegant, candle-lit restaurant serves superb cuisine and is AA rosetted for the quality. Try New Forest venison or locally caught fish perhaps? A well balanced wine list is both adventurous and affordably priced.
Historic Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst are nearby and Southampton is just 15 minutes away. The hotel is ideal for touring the area and nearby attractions include Beaulieu, Bucklers Hard, Exbury Gardens and Broadlands House.
