Situated about six miles from the coast, between Alford and Louth, our holiday accommodation consists of two Cottages and four Log Cabins. One mile from the centre of the village, the Cottages are on the private road leading to Park Farm. They are surrounded by an area of grass and are next to about three acres of woodland where the Log Cabins are situated. Boston and Grimsby are about forty minutes drive away and Lincoln a little more. Boston and Lincoln are both of considerable interest to tourists. Our Log Cabins are of timber construction and designed to capture the atmosphere of the surroundings. You do not have to gather damp wood to make a fire before you eat. (If you wish you can burn your meat over glowing charcoal.) They are designed to look as natural as possible in a woodland setting. That is why we are keeping the number down to four. Park Farm Cottages are a pair of semi-detached cottages, which are no longer required for farm workers. Like the Cabins, they are double glazed and centrally heated. They have three bedrooms, one with a double bed, and two with a single in each, all with blankets, not duvets. There is a bathroom upstairs. The lounges have a settee and easy chairs, coffee tables and television, and a dining table and chairs in a corner. The kitchens have fitted units, electric cookers microwaves and toasters, and a table and chairs. The fridge is in the pantry. There are some thirty miles of sandy beaches around Lincolnshire, from Cleethorpes in the north through Donna Nook, where the sea may be too far out to see and mirages abound on hot days. The beach continues through Sutton on Sea, Huttoft Bank and Anderby Creek, where it is possible to spend a peaceful day, all very quiet up to Chapel St Leonards, where it gets more commercialised, through Ingoldmells and Skegness.
