The Greyhound Hotel forms the principal building of Cromford Market Place. A three-storey building constructed in sandstone with a Roman Doric doorcase and raised quoins, it has made a substantial contribution to the history of the local area. The Greyhound provided lodging for visitors to Cromford and was used as the location for festivities organised by Sir Richard Arkwright for his workforce. Now fully refurbished this delightful country inn/hotel is a ideal base for exploring the Derbyshire dales, and many country houses such as chatsworth house just 5 miles away, Haddon Hall, Hopton Hall, Kedelston Hall , Eyam Hall and many more also alton towers just a 20 minutes car journey away, Gullivers Kingdom and the Heights of Abraham just 1/2 a mile away. The Greyhound can offer an enjoyable and intimate dining experience. Our experienced chef has devised a delicious seasonal menu. Take a drink in the bar while you make your selections and then enjoy your meal accompanied by one of our wines from around the world. We can cater for medium sized parties, celebrations or gatherings.with full sit down meals, or just hot or cold buffets, Just let us know what you have in mind and our party organiser will plan the day for you.
