All the bedrooms are decorated in a co-ordinated neutral decor. They are equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, clock alarms, hairdryers and flat screen TVs with freeview and a DVD player. The en-suite bedrooms are situated to the rear garden side of the property looking towards the trees of Montacute Park (National Trust) in the distance. The single room with shower is on the side of the property. The en-suites all have power showers, w.c.s and wash basins. Breakfast is served in the tearooms, in the summer months in our delightful conservatory. Choice of breakfast comprises fruit juice, fresh fruit, prunes, yoghurts, cereals, cooked items including traditional English breakfast and toast with preserves and honey. We serve lunches in the summer months in the tearooms & garden, when packed lunches are also available. As we are connected to the well-known TV Radio Toy Museum, the tearooms are uniquely decorated with pictures and nostalgic items that will bring back memories of your favourite TV programmes. We are also able to provide B&B bookings combined with entry to the museum. Two inns in the village provide evening meals. There are delightful walks some through National Trust grounds and woods and the adjacent Ham Hill National Park. We are also on the South Somerset cycle route and have a locked area for cycles. There are several National Trust properties and gardens to visit close by including Montacute House in the village. The house and village were used in the filming of Jane Austens Sense and Sensibility. Other attractions close by include the Fleet Air Arm Museum and Haynes Motor Museum. There are a number of golf courses in the area and horse racing at Wincanton, the beaches of the Jurassic coast are only 45 minutes away. A recent survey showed that Montacute is the place where people are likely to live the longest in the whole of the country. Come & visit us & see what it is about this beautiful village that makes it so special.
