Bradle Farm lies in a valley three miles west of Corfe Castle, surrounded by the Purbeck Hills in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Purbeck coastline has recently been officially recognised as a natural World Heritage site and encompasses part of our farm.
The original farmhouse and land are mentioned in the Doomsday Book before being destroyed by fire in the early 1800's. The present farmhouse was built in the 1840's with local Purbeck stone, still retaining much of the character and style of the original.
We farm 550 acres here at Bradle as part of a total of 1700 acres, and we have been here as a family since 1962. It is very much a working farm with two dairy herds, sheep, beef cattle and corn which John farms in a partnership with his two brothers and father. We moved into the farmhouse in 1982 and I immediately started providing Bed & Breakfast, gradually upgrading all the rooms to their present high standard.
This Victorian farmhouse is spacious and all rooms are attractively furnished to a high standard. We offer two double rooms with ensuite showers and toilets and a twin-bedded room with its own private bathroom. All rooms have TVs, clock radios, hairdryers and tea/coffee making facilities.
A warm, friendly family atmosphere is assured with us at Bradle, so come and sample what we have to offer!
