Why not have a picnic on the beach, take the children to the swimming pool, visit the local speedway, enjoy the picturesque cycle routes, go for a walk, or watch Berwick Ranger’s play at their stadium. You don’t have to venture far from Embleton House to have a good time. Berwick-upon-Tweed is the northernmost town in England located 5 minutes drive from the Scottish border. The town is only 45 minutes away from Edinburgh and Newcastle via a regular train service. The town itself is encircled by its Elizabethan Fortifications and the 11/2 mile walk around these walls where you will be treated to town and coastal views, and get a glimpse into the perilous past of the town.
