The Ship Inn is a 4 star accredited Inn located in the peaceful and pleasant hamlet of High Hesleden. In every bedroom there is a state of the art LCD television, a clock radio, a hospitality tray with fresh fruit and drinks, hair dryer and free wireless connection and telephone – but you’ll also note the attention to detail as each has something to make it comfortable and stylish in its own individual way. Every one overlooks the beautiful gardens, and beyond to the stunning sea views. The main A19 trunk road comes (not too) close, so you’re well placed to explore the delights of County Durham and beyond. If you’re visiting on business, you’ll get out of the towns and cities and enjoy a beautiful drive through the countryside to reach us. We have views that stretch across the tranquil countryside, and to the sea - views that are sure to delight. You will immediately find yourself in a calm and friendly environment that is sure to put you in a fine position for a relaxing holiday or break. We are happily situated in a quiet spot, but close enough to roads that offer easy access to us. The larger towns aren't too far away if you should need some more action or shops. And just beyond these (within 30 miles) are the untamed Yorkshire Moors. Our guests come away feeling relaxed in this area that offers friendlieness, tranquility and marvellous scenery.
