Melyn-y-Gors B&B is accessed by a narrow road that follows the valley of the babbling river Tydu down to the sea. We are 100 yards from the National Trust cove of Cwmtydu. The beach is both sand and stone, with rocks and grassy hills rising to one side. At low tide the caves can be explored - they were once a secret haunt of pirates and smugglers. Cwmtydu beach is dog friendly all year round; Melyn-y-Gors B&B welcomes well behaved dogs. Cwmtydu is situated between Llangranog and New Quay on the Ceredigion coastal path, with stunning views: seals and dolphins can be spotted. In late summer, Atlantic Grey seal pups can sometimes be seen on Cwmtydu beach, with their mothers keeping a watchful eye from the sea. Melyn-y-Gors B&B offers 3 good sized en suite rooms. The first one is situated on the ground floor with a king size bed and a comfortable sofa, television (freeview channels) and tea/coffee making facilities. It has a level access from outside, useful for people with walking difficulties. The other 2 rooms are on the first floor and are both double rooms. However, both can be family rooms: one has a double and a single bed, with room for a guest bed to sleep a family of 4. The other room has a king size bed and a single bed that can sleep a family of 3. Both rooms have a sofa with a television (freeview channels) and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a local pub approximately 2 miles away called the Crown Inn, which serves good food. Also, the Llangranog and New Quay has lots of pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes. Village and town amenities are within easy driving distance, as are larger seaside resorts and visitor attractions. So if you would like a relaxing break, why not book now?
