Situated on the outskirts of the wonderful ancient town of Minchinhampton, home to the Gatcombe Estate and the Princess Royal . Minchinhampton is an excellent example of a small costwold town , many buildings dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. Complete with post office, butchers, chemist, antique and village shop, coffee house, pub and restaurants it is able to cater for most needs. Minchinhampton lies between Stroud and Cirencester besides 600 acres of National Trust common land offering fantastic views across to the River Severn and beyond.

Activities include walking, cycling (route 45 of National cycle way passes Forwood Farm). Golf. Gliding and even hot air balloon rides can be arranged. Many public houses and restaurants are easily assessible from the house and give ample opportunity to sample the delights on offer . Five minutes by car, or thirty minutes on foot is the town of Nailsworth, a busy town full of interesting shops, pubs and cafes.
