The Aysgarth Falls Hotel is situated above the picturesque Aysgarth Falls in the heart of Wensleydale. You can visit the higher; middle and lower falls which all have an individual beauty during every season. The Main falls were featured in the fight scene between Robin Hood and John Little in the movie Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves.There are several other attractions surrounding the hotel including; The Forbidden Corner; a strange but fascinating place for all age groups. Bolton Castle where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned before escaping in 1568; Hardraw Falls (also used in the filming of Robin Hood); Redmire and West Burton Falls.There are numerous walks for you to enjoy ranging from a few miles to strenuous long distance walks; which have featured in the Inn Way walking guides.The Aysgarth Falls Hotel is mid way between Leyburn and Hawes; Leyburn is known as the gateway to the Dale. Hawes for it's Market and Mart and the home of the Wensleydale Creamery.
