B and Bs in Kingsdown
Passford House is an exceptional modern house, constructed to a high specification, built by the present owners and completed in August 2006. Kingsdown is a small hamlet, situated to the east of Bath, nestling in the hillside above the Box Valley (Box Tunnel -- Isambard Brunel) with breathtaking views both toward and around Bath. The proprietors, David and Margaret, opened the doors of their home to paying guests in August 2008. It is their intention to deliver a standard of excellence ; so frequently advertised and yet so rarely found.Everything about the house is large and each bedroom is presented in immaculate condition. The decor, the furnishings and the linen ooze quality, ensuring a most comfortable and enjoyable stay. The bathrooms are lovely with plenty of hot water and soft fluffy towels. The twenty foot square kitchen, which leads into the gabled conservatory, includes a kitchen table which is laid for breakfast when there are only two or three guests at home ; in busier times the formal dining room is used aswell, with french doors leading onto the patio. n.b. David prepares the breakfast -- it's very very good.
