The Montrose was originally built in the 1800's. Previously Known as Treworyan (1922) The Montrose was renamed in the 1940's. According to local archives The Montrose was a prestigious Hotel with large advertisements, and the very first neon sign on an Isle of Wight hotel. The building has evolved over the years with changes and additions, and now is changing again. The Montrose is an ongoing project for the owners Mr and Mrs. Morris, and is becoming better and better with each passing day. They are ever hopeful of bringing it back to being the Premier Place to Stay on the Island, and will endeavor to make your stay a happy one.
All rooms are tastefully decorated with plenty of space and storage. Family Suite (sleeps 5) available on request, as are rooms with a Bath. We do all we can to ensure you have a pleasant stay
