If places of outstanding natural beauty are your idea of heaven; then a day or two scouring the dales with their medieval dry-stone walls and barns will be right up your street. By contrast; the moorland above is as wild and open as it comes. There are several spectacular waterfalls; from the very popular and well known Aysgarth Falls and Hardraw Force to the more secluded but no less beautiful waterfall at West Burton. We will happily arrange day passes for guests to enjoy a day's Fly Fishing on the river; which is kept well-stocked.

Having spent a long day taking in the local attractions; you can unwind in the small; cosy bar by our open fire. Our bar offers an extensive wine list to suit all tastes; a selection of well-kept real ales including the locally brewed "Black Sheep" and a range of guest options from independent brewers. As the night draws on you can also pick from our selection of over forty different varieties of malt whisky.

Being just a few miles from the A1 we make a much better stop off than those nasty service stations; or if you're travelling a long way; why not stay with us and break up your journey? We have a large garden at the rear shaded by mature trees where you can relax and refresh with a long cold drink and a bite to eat on a hot summers day.
