Situated on Broadway in Shifnal, Shropshire, The Wheatsheaf Inn (also known as The Tap House) is of historical and architectural interest and is Grade 2 listed. Its position along the north south axis of the town (which, according to local council records (2000) is probably an ancient route from mediaeval times) contributes to the eclectic historical aesthetics of the Broadway Conservation Area. The Wheatsheaf has always been a traditional pub, and it is our intention to maintain that as much as possible. The interior of the building is 17th century, with huge beams, low ceilings, open inglenook fires and traditional furniture. When you walk into the pub it is like stepping back in time whilst at the same time being enveloped into a warm, cosy and welcoming atmosphere that the pub oozes.
