Built around 1750,the Rat Inn boast spectacular views across Hexham and the Tyne Valley. Phil and Karen took over the pub in August 2007 having
previously owned the successful Michelin rated Green room restaurant in Hexham. The daily changing, seasonal menu of traditional British food features
locally sourced ingredients all freshly cooked to order. Continuing with our legendary traditional roast Sunday lunch (booking essential).
A charming and characterful pub with a stunning beer garden and roaring fires to suit by in winter, the Rat is a classic country pub. Real ale fans will be delighted to enjoy changing guest ales from local
microbreweries. There is also a varied wine list which features some excellent and reasonably priced wines up to a more expensive selection for those who want to splash out!
