Journey through the historic estate of Shugborough and discover a bygone era
of our costumed living history characters bringing the past to life.
The story begins in the walled garden were fruit and vegetables are grown
for the estate. At the farm the servants' are busy making butter and
cheese, the farm hands tend to the animals and the miller grinds the flour.
The playarea is also here.
Take a ride on the Land Train to the servants' quarters which are always
full of activity with the cooks and kitchen maids preparing food, brewing
ale and scrubbing the whites. The elegant mansion completes the story.
Finally, actually taste the history of the estate in the tearoom which
serves dishes inspired by historic recipes.
There are children's school holiday activities and a wide variety of events
throughout the year see website for details.
Information and prices for events and advanced tickets can be bought online
