Tucked away in the charming rural village of Much Hadham, this museum
has something for everyone. For the art connoisseur, 16th century wall
paintings to admire. For those who want a hands on experience, come and see
the blacksmith's shop. There's never been a better time to visit the museum,
after a cash injection from the lottery there are new displays throughout,
including local history rooms.
Set in the grounds of Much Hadham Forge Museum is the Charity Cafe serving
tea, coffee and cakes, with proceeds benefitting local charities including
Kisses4Kids and the Hertfordshire Building Preservation Trust, amongst
others.
Access to the Cafe is through the Jean Page Room housing free temporary
exhibitions of art and local history, cafe users may also enjoy the
Victorian Cottage Garden.
Open Fri, Sat, Sun and Bank Holidays 11am-5pm (check for extended opening
hours during school holidays).
