A cosy cottage B&B set in a quiet spot just a 15 minute walk from historic Lacock, near Chippenham in Wiltshire. We are just 13 miles from Bath, 8 miles from Bradford on Avon and 14 miles from Avebury. The 18th century village of Lacock is now owned by the National Trust and little has changed in the past two hundred years. The village boasts four pubs, all of which serve food and two tearooms. Between the village and the river Avon is Lacock Abbey, a 13th century nunnery converted to a house in Henry Vlll´s reign. Lacock is also known as the home of photography as William Henry Fox Talbot, the inventor of the nagative, lived at the Abbey. The village was passed to the National Trust in 1944
