Restaurants in Moorgate
Vinum proves a civilised retreat among the somewhat youthy bars and eateries in and around Paul Street. It's somewhere for the suited adults to relax over a business lunch, or relax plain and simple. Straight lines, timber-framed mirrors, dark chocolate leather chairs, simply laid tables draped in white linen – the overall effect is smart without being overly formal. The seasonal Modern European menu very much has the foodie in mind; oysters are always there, as is a succulent Lancashire roast suckling pig, and an equally hearty ham with broad beans, with market fish changing daily. Wonderful stuff, especially with near to 250 fine wines to complement them.
