Restaurants in Greenwich
Take one Victorian pub, transform it into a real restaurant with chef Mark Hix behind the menu, put the owners of the Ivy and Le Caprice in the big chair on the flight deck, and what do you get? Well, if you're as lucky as Greenwich, you get trendy Rivington. The décor is coolly casual, with whitewashed walls, stripped wood floors, dark wood bar with a dozen seats for noshing and drinking, and scads of natural light. The Greenwich Picture House is in the same building, so dinner and a movie won't require a change of venue. 'Simplicity' best describes the menu. There are seasonal British favourites like starter of eggs Benedict, main course of roast Lancashire suckling pig with quince sauce and sprout tops, and dessert of steamed marmalade pudding. Global wines and heated terrace seating.
