These Self Catering cottages are located in the Lake District near Windermere and Kendal in a superb rural location. We are only 15 minutes from Lake Windermere. They are graded 5 Star by Visit Britain.

The self-catering cottages are set in over an acre of landscaped gardens including pond, stream, arboretum and tennis court. The fells of the Lake District are immediately accessible from our own bridle path.

The Old Grain Store cottage is on the main floor of the original barn and has been tastefully converted on two levels. Downstairs is a large open plan living area and kitchen which benefits from the wonderful original high ceilings and beams. Open stairs lead to the double bedroom and bathroom perched high up in the eaves of the barn with tremendous views of the local rural landscape. The cottage is furnished very comfortably and to an exceptionally high standard and is Visit Britain 5 Star rated. The apartment has its own private terrace to take advantage of the afternoon and evening sunshine. Garden furniture is provided for you to sit and relax. A BBQ is available for those balmy evenings.

The Old Shippon is a cosy romantic hideaway. This elegant refurbishment concentrates on the desires of couples wanting to get away from it all. Created from the lower ground floor of the main barn it has its own private entrance and is all on one level. No short cuts have been taken during the design of the sumptuous large double bedroom and brand new fully fitted kitchen. Garden furniture is provided for you to sit and relax in parts of the large garden.

Mirefoot Self Catering Cottages are bookable throughout the year.
In the Summer we take bookings for whole weeks from Friday to Friday
In the Winter we take short term bookings as well. The Self Catering Cottages are available from Friday to Monday for a three night weekend or from Monday to Friday for a four night weekday booking.
