The Pines has a timeless atmosphere if peace and tranquillity and backs directly onto beautiful woodlands in the quietest and most desirable part of this historic town. The house is filled with paintings by distinguished artists including watercolours, oil paintings and family portraits. Antiques and fascinating objets d'art increase the sense of heritage in this fine 19th Century Highland home. The landscaped garden provides fresh flowers and herbs, and leads to our woodland garden.

By the edge of Grantown-on-Spey in the heart of the Highlands, this exclusive small hotel has won numerous awards including, for the third year running, The RAC's top award for Small Hotels, 'The Little Gem'. The Pines is graded as a Four Star Small Hotel by The Scottish Tourist Board. In 1998 Discover Britain awarded The Pines 'Overall Winner in Britain' for Bed & Breakfast. Both The RAC and The AA gave The Pines their maximum of Five Diamonds, together with Dining Awards. We are a Three Medallions Restaurant inThe Scottish Food Grading Scheme and are members of The Taste of Scotland. We are delighted to have these awards but our real aim is to give each person the feeling of being a special guest in a very special Highland home.
