The Crown Inn is a 16th century pub made famous by Thomas Hardy as it featured in one of his more famous novels Tess of the D'Urbervilles as the Pure Drop Inn. The Crown still has many of the old features including the inglenook fireplace,wooden beams and the priest hole(where the catholic priests hid in the 16th century during the reformation period).

We Have 5 Beautiful rooms which all include free standing baths with power showers ,bath robes and body products. Our rooms also inclue TVs,freeview.stereos with -ipod dock and wireless internet connection. Breakfast is available from just croissants to a full English breakfast The pub offers a bar menu as well as our al a carte with well kept local beers.
