Nafferton Farm is a working farm with sheep, cattle and horses. We are situated in a rural location on the outskirts of Durham City.
The farmhouse itself dates back to 1750 and has been carefully restored to retain it's original features and character, which provides a welcoming setting for all of our visitors. Guests can enjoy panoramic views whilst relaxing in the secluded garden with it's large pond and water features.
We are just a stone throw away from historic and picturesque Brancepeth Village with its ancient Castle, Church, Golf Course and Fishing Lakes.
Right on our doorstep we have Durham City with it's ancient Cathedral and Castle and only a short distance from the world famous Beamish Museum, Raby Castle, the Durham Dales and Northumbrian coastline, all for you to explore.
For those shopaholics amongst you we have some of the finest shopping available with Gateshead MetroCentre (the largest indoor shopping complex in Europe) a short drive away. The Cities of Durham, Newcastle and Sunderland (all close by) also have a huge range of ultra-modern indoor and outdoor shopping facilities.
