Pub and Bars in St Agnes
Built in 1660 as a marine and mining warehouse and named for the massive beams said to be ships spars from the great sailing ships, many of whom came to grief along this coast. This sensitively converted hotel now has 15 ensuite bedrooms, all with TV, phones, refreshment trays etc, some with dramatic sea views. Spacious garden rooms have been added, very popular with families and pet owners. The latest additions are a microbrewery and a seaside theme gift shop.
Very much a place of contrasts and compliment - from dark mysterious bars to light airy bedrooms, both with a nautical theme. Stunning sea views and sizzling log fires. Massive beams and breakfasts, sometimes quiet and peaceful, and at the weekends friendly and lively; popular with locals and tourists, young and old, who come with healthy appetites for good food, real ale and live music, and above all, a good natter!
