A beautifully restored historic inn situated just off the Malmesbury
to Cricklade Road (B4040), the Vale of the White Horse Inn is set in its own
grounds with a large car park and lake - a wonderful atmosphere for relaxing
in the country. Excellent fresh food is prepared to order.
The Main Dining Room‚ has oak beams and floors, with two open fires and
double French doors leading to a large terrace overlooking the lake (used
for dining when the weather allows. The Garden Rooms‚ are bright and airy.
With their own bar and WC‚s, these rooms are used for an enormous variety of
activities, including weddings, private parties, conferences and music
nights.
The menus are varied and imaginative whilst offering a wide choice for all
tastes and pockets. Vegetarian dishes are always available and meals are
prepared from scratch by a talented team of professional chefs; when the
menu reads home-smoked‚ or home-cured‚ you can believe it. In addition to
the main menu, there are daily specials, bar meals and snacks, along with a
large selection of wines and real ales.
Combining the village pub with a destination-dining house‚ really works
here, and its increasing popularity is well deserved. High quality at
sensible prices is the ethos.
