Pub and Bars in Abinger
The STEPHAN LANGTON INN, Friday Street, is set in a tranquil valley just a few miles west of Dorking in the heart of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This is an unspoilt country pub serving fine local ales with a growing reputation for good food. All the food is home-made (the bread, the ice cream, chutney, piccalilli). Available at lunch time only, the bar menu includes ploughman's, pork pie, sausage and mash. The evening menu is more elaborate with breast of Gressingham duck with potato rösti and pickled beetroot or rack of lamb with courgette purée. The food is simple and unpretentious - just what you would expect in a cosy, friendly pub with wooden floors and open fires. So whether you are here for a drink, a quick bite to eat or sampling the menu in the recently refurbished restaurant and bar you will get a very warm welcome.
