The Award Winning Bricklayers Arms is tucked away in the tiny Hertfordshire
Village of Flaunden which you can find at the end of the winding lanes which
snake between Chipperfield and Latimer. A picturesque pub in a beautiful
location often featured in film and tv series.
Alvin and Sally Michaels recently refurbished this ivy clad 18th Century
listed building. You are sure to receive a warm welcome and enjoy the
atmosphere with its low wooden beams and real log fire.
In the summer you can enjoy a meal on the patio and garden surrounded by
acres of fields and lush green countryside.
Over the past five years, The Bricklayers Arms has certainly gained an
excellent reputation for its English traditional and French fusion menu
created buy its Michelin trained chef, Claude Pallait.
You can enjoy the same menu throughout the restaurant and pub seven days a
week with dishes ranging at lunch time from their famous Steak and Kidney
Ale Pie to matured Fillet Steaks and local game. Organic and local produce
is used whenever possible.
The Evening menu offers several starters including, Egg Meurettes on garlic
croutons with a shallot, bacon and red wine jus or their home smoked
selection of fishes and meats to main courses of Best End of Lamb served
with a pea flan: locally farmed Pork with a brambly apple compot & cider jus
or Chicken Mozzarella with a Smoked Bacon and Mushroom sauce. There are
always a number of fish dishes with daily specials on the menu.
Fine ales and a selection of more than 140 wines from their award winning
wine list are on offer for all discerning tastes and budgets.
