Former Georgian farmhouse now a country house hotel set amidst mature trees and lawns.
A Georgian Farmhouse, formerly the home farmhouse to a group of neighbouring farms, the Longlands Hotel is steeped in history. Evidence shows the existence of a property on the site as long ago as 1659. Our superb grounds offer the ideal location for weddings, or conferences, in our marquee, which can accommodate up to 120 guests or delegates.
Recent conversions of the adjacent outbuildings have enabled us to increase the number of rooms available, with a total of 15 guest rooms, comprising 2 family suites, Honeymoon suite complete wih four poster bed, 5 double, 6 twin bedded and 1 single. All the bedrooms have en-suite or private bathrooms, one with facilities for the disabled. Tea and coffee making facilities colour televisions and direct dial telephones are standard in all rooms. Trouser press, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards are available to all guests. Room tariff includes full English or Continental breakfast served in the Georgian Room restaurant.
The hotel has a licensed bar and adjoining lounge with large screen rear projector television with satellite reception. Home-prepared evening meals are available at all times. We can also cater for small conferences and receptions in the Garden Room. The Longlands Hotel is only 20 minutes drive from East Midlands Airport. Leave your car here and we'll deliver you to and collect you from your flight. Local attractions include, The American Adventure, Drayton Manor Park and Zoo and Alton Towers, The Longlands also makes an ideal base to explore the Peak District National Park and Historic Houses in the East Midlands.
