Standing serenely on a wooded rise on the outskirts of the picturesque little town of Banchory and with its grey granite walls lavishly overhung with ivy, the Tor-na-Coille is a romantically attractive hotel offering peace, tranquillity and magnificent views over the tree-capped countryside.
Originally built in 1873 as a Victorian Mansion, Tor-na-Coille was converted into a hotel at the turn of the century and has retained a great deal of its original character and architectural features.

All 22 spacious bedrooms are en-suite, individually furnished and well-equipped. Some of the rooms have period furniture and open fire-places.

In the elegant restaurant, award winning chef Paul Fyvie serves up excellent menus using regional produce that includes local game and salmon.

Tor-na-Coille is ideally situated for touring Royal Deeside and Balmoral and for visiting numerous historical sites and castles.
