Founded in 1407, Oswestry School is a co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 2 to 18 with currently over 400 pupils. Established on two closely situated sites, Bellan House, the pre-prep department, in Oswestry town centre, takes children from Nursery to Year 4 and the Senior School, located on the outskirts of Oswestry, caters for Years 5 to 13. Set in 50 acres of attractive grounds, Oswestry School overlooks the old market town of Oswestry. There is easy access to the Midlands‚ motorways, yet the hills and lakes of the Welsh borderland are close by. Oswestry School has a modern outlook but respects Œtraditional‚ values and is proud of its warm, caring Œfamily‚ atmosphere. Its distinctive ethos allows the School to give much individual care and attention to pupils and to motivate them as they make academic and personal progress. Class sizes are small and the teacher:student ratio is very generous, allowing each individual to find the opportunity to excel. Our aim is to develop fully the talents of every one of our students, promoting their intellectual, moral, spiritual, academic, physical, cultural and social development ˆ qualities they will need in order to confidently and productively take their place in today‚s society.
