Family run by Julie, David and son since Januray 2001, this Award winning rural Country Inn has a great reputation for food. Nestling in the West Dorset hills in the yellowstone Hamlet of Nettlecombe and close to Eggardon Hill, an ancient hill fort, this sixteenth century Inn is very popular, and deservedly so, for country breaks. An excellent position for walking or touring the area.. Set In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Near Powerstock Common, famous for rare birds, butterflies and fauna and 7 miles from the stunning Jurassic World Heritage Coast, with West Bay, Charmouth and Lyme Regis all within easy driving distance.

7 bedrooms en-suite with wireless internet connection, t.v., hospitality tray, hairdryer, adjustable central heating. Two cosy Bars, with a warm friendly atmosphere, one with log fires in winter. Two separte atmospheric Dining Areas,one with log fire when cold.

Open for lunch and Dinner every day, with blackboard menus which change regularly and an emphasis on fresh local produce, especially fresh local fish, meat and game in season. A la carte menu with delicious, interesting choices,generous country portions appetisingly served.
