Inns in Blandford Forum
The Langton Arms, an attractive 17th century thatched inn, occupies a peaceful spot in the centre of Tarrant Monkton next to the church. Tarrant Monkton is a small thatched Dorset hamlet nestling in the Tarrant Valley, surrounded by some of the most spectacular countryside in England, which has changed little since it was immortalised in the novels of Thomas Hardy at the turn of the century. The Langton Arms is a free house run with true care and offers a fine selection of drinks, including an ever-changing supply of outstanding real ales. The Inn is renowned for its excellent food and offers a wide variety of interesting homemade dishes, including vegetarian meals, at value for money prices. We serve food all day at weekends, in the front bar, from 11.30am to 10.00pm on Saturdays and 12.00pm to 9.00pm on Sundays. We have 10 guest rooms including Taddlestones Cottage. There are six guest rooms built in rustic brick around an attractive courtyard . Plus four rooms in the beautiful neighbouring cottage, Taddlestones. Our rooms are furnished to a high standard and have full en suite bathrooms, colour televisions and tea/coffee making facilities. You may specify at the time of booking whether you require a twin, double or family room. The Langton Arms is so much more than a pub – with award winning menus, excellent accommodation, conference facilities, a civil wedding license and a caring team of staff, it offers the warmest of welcomes.
