The warmest of welcomes awaits everyone who steps over the threshold of this renowned 17th Century family run Coaching Inn. We are situated amongst 3 acres of gardens in the centre of Exford, one of Exmoor's prettiest villages, surrounded by stunning countryside where Exmoor ponies, red deer and birds of prey roam free. The elegant restaurant has a traditional feel yet with a modern twist and has an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. It boasts 2 AA rosettes and has a reputation both locally and nationally. The cosy country bar provides diners with more informal dining, serving hearty home cooked meals alongside real ales and local tales! All our meat and fresh fish are locally sourced with organic and free range being a main priority when sourcing our goods. Not forgetting our fine wine list with wines chosen to compliment our dishes and excite the palate. Guest comfort is a main priority at The Crown. We aim to make your stay as relaxed and enjoyable as possible. The unique friendly atmosphere ensures you feel part of the family. Our rooms are all individually styled and tastefully decorated with modern amenities; all are en suite. The lounge is the ideal place to enjoy a hot buttered crumpet in winter beside the roaring log fire and our gardens in summer are the ideal place to devour one of our delicious cream teas. The Crown Hotel is pet friendly and dogs are more than welcome to bring their well behaved owners! We also have stables available for those who wish to explore Exmoor on horseback. For that special re-union, birthday, anniversary or intimate wedding The Crown Hotel is available for hire. The Crown Hotel, situated at the heart of the Exmoor National Park, is ideally placed for taking advantage of the wonderful coutryside and coastline of Exmoor. Activities on Exmoor include: Cycling, Walking, Fishing, Horse Riding and trekking, Shooting, Hunting and wildlife watching. There's something for everyone at The Crown Hotel
