Our historic village house was built around 1700 and in the past has been the village inn.We have recently finished a full refurbishment to give our guests the best of both worlds modern shiny bathrooms warm controllable energy efficient heating with spacious light rooms furnished with character pieces of unusual and interesting furniture. We are situated between the two ferry terminals so we are very convenient for either the Stenaline to Belfast and P&O to Larne.

There are lots of things to in this beautiful part of Scotland.Bird watching around the Loch or a trip to Ailsa Crag to see the gannets.There are botanic gardens to visit,castles and harbours and the food is renowned for its excellent quality.2 Michelin Star restaurants are within a 20 minutes drive of The Auld Cairn.
