Welcome to Artist¹s House, an attractive, light and airy, warm and friendly home of textile artist, Vivien Prideaux, built in the late 60¹s in a quiet cul de sac with a well stocked Cornish garden and a short walk form the historic town centre, quay, shops, restaurants and pubs. We have onsite parking and secure parking for motorbikes and bicycles. We provide a fact file containing information on various local attractions with guidebooks to the Eden Project and Heligan Gardens and an ordnance survey map of the area for use during your visit. The Harbour room looks down over the port of Fowey and across to Polruan and has a bath and shower. The Garden Room as you can imagine looks over the garden filled with camellias, shrubs, flowers and sub tropical plants and has a shower. Breakfast is served at a time to suit you. We are passionate about the quality of our food. We give you the option to treat yourself to the natural rich flavours of a locally sourced full Cornish breakfast or select a lighter option, smoked haddock and poached egg, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, omelette or pancakes. Also fresh fruit salad, daily home baked bread, home made marmalade and jams, free range eggs from our own resident hens, Faith Hope and Charity. We are happy to cater for any special diets, so please advise us when booking. Three course dinners with wine and picnic lunches are available by prior arrangement Weather permitting breakfast can be served in the garden The greenhouse provides pesticide free tomatoes and herbs in season. We are committed to using fragrance-free, earth friendly cleaning products; The Artist¹s Houses uses Solar panels to provide hot water, rain water harvesting to water the garden, ŒHippos in the toilet cisterns and low flow showers to help conserve precious water, eco ball to do the washing, line dry, all cotton laundry, low energy light bulbs, energy efficient appliances, recycling of plastic, glass and paper and composting.
