Situated on the A22 between Eastbourne and Uckfield, The Black Lion Inn at Halland has a lot to offer.This Inn has a traditional bar, bed and breakfast facilities and an adjoining restaurant with a capacity for 50 diners, available for lunches,evening meals and private functions. The menu incorporates firm favourites such as fish & chips, and homemade burgers, as well as chef's specials which include chicken breast stuffed with pesto & mozzarella, wrapped in Parma hanand served with wholegrain mustard sauce; homemade steak & guinness pie; ans slow roasted belly of pork served on a bed of apple & stilton mash. All produce is is sourced locally with the minor exception of their delicious green lipped mussels, which are available as either a starter or main course, and on Sundays, this is the place to enjoy the great British Roast. Proprietor Nigel Fright became the Landlord just over a year ago and has since introduced a variety of ventures to delight both his locals and new clientelle. With live bands, curry nights and Karaoke as well as plans to create a child-friendly garden area, Nigel's aim is to host assorted entertainments to suit all ages.
