Self-Catering in Aberdare

Welcome to Penybryn Cottage, a luxury self catering cottage set in Cwmbach, a small village near Aberdare. The cottage is set in a peaceful leafy semi residential location and situated 30 minutes from both Swansea and Cardiff and 15 minutes from The Brecon Beacons National Park with good road and rail links. 

We offer a friendly stay in a fully equipped pet friendly family accommodation for up to four persons. The cottage comes complete with wood burning stove, central heating, digital television, hi-fi, high speed broadband internet access, full cooking facilities including oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer and washer/dryer. The large bedroom enjoys one double bed but there are two foldaway beds available for extra guests. the lounge area has two large comfortable leather three seater sofas and the large kitchen table seats four persons. The downstairs bathroom has a large shower.

All bed linen, towels etc are included and a babies cot and highchair can be provided at no extra charge. The private outdoor area combines the secluded upper sun terrace complete with patio set/loungers, lower enclosed garden with barbeque facilities and secure off road parking. 

The cottage itself has restricted views from the windows but offers magnificent panoramic hillside views of the whole valley from the private sun terrace and front patio seating area.

The surroundings also offer an ideal setting for walking, mountain biking, golf, fishing and horse riding, coupled with a vast array of local attractions and things to do. Its valleys location makes it an ideal base for a holiday, short break, work stay or for visiting relatives. Set in several acres of pastureland accommodating miniature shetlands, badger faced sheep, turkeys, chickens and ducks.
