Good Points: The hotel was a beatifully kept, period building. The rooms were nicely decorated and in keeping with the age of the building. Bad Points: It was slightly further away from York than I'd thought.

This place is superb with excellent rooms and lovely helpfull owner & staff. It is wonderfully clean in a quiet village location. They do not serve food or have a bar however the pub food & service at the hungry fox was excellent (5 mins drive). Not just your average pub fare they had a real good specials board. I would certainly reccomend this hotel. A little oasis off the beaten track.
