Good Points: We were staying for the British Grand Prix and the hotel brought the opening times of breakfast forward for its guests - I have stayed in a number of hotels for the British Grand Prix and have always had to miss breakfast - well done the staff for getting up early. General review: Excellent

Out of all the hotels I have stayed in during the resent years I can honestly say this is one of the most enjoyable. The food and surrounding were all very welcoming as well as the staff who were also the type I felt I could actually have a decent conversation with. And even though the hotel seemed very busy they seen to effortlessly make time for everyone there. A truly delightful stay!

Lovely hotel completely spoilt by the attitude of the management. we asked about noise problems as a wedding was in full swing when we checked in, we were assured there would be no problems, The receprionist put us over the patio where the wedding party (quite rightly) thoroughly enjoyed themselves until 12.30 the next morning. It was about the hottest day of the year so everybody was right under our window. Then at 12.45 in the morning the Band noisily packed their trailer up with their heavy gear across the concrete. Then the drunks went home by taxi. When we had thought that must be it,, the night porter started to hoover up the ground floor starting under our room , he did not shut the doors or windows and was using a hoover powered by an engine from Concord. He had to do it at three in the morning as it was "his Job" The management should not have let the room but could not care less. a great pity, a nice hotel spoilt.

"The hotel was very quaint and in nice quiet surroundings. A very nice lounge and clean.","I didn't see any management staff [except reception] Non of the waiting staff seemed to know what was on the menu, without going to see the chef!","Not much. We booked the hotel at their price cut special weekend rate. Which we thought was a bargain and really were very pleasantly surprised at the hotel, location and the furnishings. So therefore we thought that it might be mediocre; but it wasn't. We left very happy people."
