Good Points: Fairly spacious room, good clean bathroom. Good choice at breakfast.
Bad Points: Inadequate staff resulting in delay at check in, long wait for drinks and lunch in bar (probably due to large party staying - but should have employed more staff). Room very noisy overnight when window opened as breeze reverberated in false ceiling sounding as if someone was walking on creaky floorboards above.
Had to wait in bar area before being seated for breakfast. Error in bill on check out.
General review: The hotel has potential to be be much better.

the staff were excellent - particularly the reception staff and the breakfast manager in the restaurant on the day i stayed
decor appears a bit tired in the hotel generally but that is a minor issue
it was a very friendly hotel. i found the staff extremely helpful and polite and it was a pleasure to stay there. i am usually a critical person but it really was all very good at the Chine.

Large room, good view.
Room service breakfast was poor - but it was before 6.00am.
Lack of confirmation email from the hotel meant I had to call to ensure the booking had been received.
Swimming pool and spa facilities closed rather early.
