website does not give a true picture of this so called hotel. We were booked for 3 nights bed breakfast and 2 evening meals. When we went down to dinner first night we were told abruptly we had arrived too early for dinner which was at 7pm we arrived 6.55! There is a bar but the owners went to bed around 10.pm and asked guests to turn the lounge lights out apparently according to other guests they do this everynight. So much if you want to have another drink. There is a code number which guests are given if they want to enter the hotel after 10pm (we had dogs so we had to let them out last thing at night) We were not given this code on arrival the other guests had to tell us the code number. The following morning I queried this and was told it was because I had not paid the bill on arrival. Also the next morning I asked to see the menu for the evening meal as they like you to chose what you want she replied that they were not cooking that night mentioning something about help had not turned up and only two people for dinner. If I had not mentioned this I suspect she would not have told me. Other complaints is toilet roll not replaced in room I had to hunt around for one, she would not accept payment with my credit card despite saying they accept credit cards on the website. Very sloppy with serving up food, one plate of casserole nearly landed in a guests lap. Generally this hotel came across to me as a place with an unhappy atmosphere with the owners not enjoying doing this.
