This is our second stay, this year, and it was even better than the last time. The staff were new, helpful and very friendly. We are light sleepers and for us, being on a quiet country estate, is the best place to be. The games room and jacuzzi are a real treat for later in the evening as somewhere to relax and have a little fun. The bedroom was large with a comfortable king size bed and the bathroom was sumptuous. What can we say about the breakfast, perfect is the only word to describe it, cooked to perfection and plenty of it. We will definitely return again next year when we visit Edinburgh. Thanks to everyone at Kirkhill.

Greeted at the door by staff member who took us to a very nice room with a large bathroom. We were asked if we would like a full Scottish breakfast (we had paid for a continental but were told we could choose). The Flat Screen TV is Free-view and with great reception. When we returned later in the evening we found the Games room and played darts and Pool. The next morning we could see a Rabbit and a Deer with its Faun eating the grass near to the house (5 meters away) We had a beautiful Scottish breakfast with coffee and lots of seeded wholemeal toast. Yes the place is an older building but it is still in very good condition and the room we were in had recently been refurbished to a good standard. The staff were great, friendly, polite and couldn't do enough for you. We were going to use the Jacuzzi but didn't get back until very late in the evening. We have stayed in some "chain hotels" where one feels like you are just a room number. The homely feel to this place is much nicer. One more big bonus to staying here is that you can use the very large kitchen to cook your own meal if you want. Where else can you do that! My wife and I will return here and recommend it to friends and family if they are visiting Edinburgh.
