Stayed 2 separate nights a week apart. The first was a late one it was a midway point on the way to our holiday in Cornwall, got there late Friday night room was fine breakfast was ok. The week after we stayed there again on the Saturday it was my fiancee's birthday, I had read good reviews on the food so we thought we would try it. Big mistake, a young girl took our order, we ordered a starter, 2 steak meals & 3 kids meals. after 50 minutes the young girl came out to ask us how we wanted the steak doing which made us think we were not getting our starter. Ten minutes later the food came out we asked about the starter, the girl had missed it and we got a miserable apology off of the scruffy barman/manager??? the steak was ordered with vegetables and came with salad and burnt mushrooms when we complained to the chef he just said 'sorry about that'??, the barman/manager?? said the steak did not come with vegatables even though it said it on the 'specials board'???. The steak I ordered medium/well done was bloody, when I asked the chef about it he said 'I will go check the order' but never came back??. and at the end of all this and totally spoiling my Fiancee's Birthday I paid the bill, was given no apology or discount!!! and will not be visiting the Tom Mogg inn again............

Excellent! The staff at the Tom Mogg couldn't do enough for us they were really accommodating. They catered for my vegan diet without making a fuss which is a very welcome change. I highly recommend the Tom Mogg for the friendliness, customer service, food and pleasant surroundings. It is an excellent location for birdwatching with a number of key sites in the area. I am looking forward to returning to the Tom Mogg in the future, many thanks.

Remove this from your website. It is a filthy smelly hotel. Nobody ever stays there. I was the only guest. I couldn't even take my shoes off because the carpet was filthy and full of debris. I left after saying I couldn't stay it was too dirty, and they said o.k. I am still waiting for my money back!
