Lovely hotel in nice grounds, pleasant room and newly redecorated bathroom. The restaurant was nice and the food good, breakfast great. The staff were pleasant and helpful. This beautiful hotel was ruined only by the hideous thumping bass noises invading our room and keeping us awake. We were later informed that there was a function below our room. I think they have to decide whether they wish to be a disco or a hotel. Would not stay there again if there was a function on.

Good Points: nice spacious room comfortable Bad Points: needs a lot of tlc (decoration) General Review: The hotel grounds need more seating (especially when another event is being held) spread around the outside. Spa facilities would have made it a better experience. Bar prices were extremely expensive.

Good Points: It was in a quiet location. The young waitress at breakfast on day 2 was very polite, friendly and welcoming Bad Points: Used soap and small amount of waste still in bathroom on arrival. Attentiveness of staff - poor breakfast experience on first morning. Poor attention to evening meal request - ordered steak blue to rare and no onion/peepr with salad (arrived medium with salad loaded with onion)

We stayed over New Years for two days, and the whole event was perfect. The food was great, the event was managed well. Most of all the staff were helpful and considerate, making a great stay.

Location was great,Problems with locking the room door!,"Overall the hotel was very nice, good location and the staff where helpful. Didn't stay long enough to know what other facilities they offered - outside bed/breakfast, for guests staying for a longer period."
