The food was ok but the service was awful, I was treated really badly and sarcastically. I would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone !

This is a wonderful restaurant, we have been using this local eatery for over 8 years now and the food is simply divine, we just can’t fault it, we recommend the deep fried butterfly prawns, Smokey chicken or spare ribs from the starter menu. The owner is just wonderful and a great host, he loves to talk to all the guests so feel free to call for him and converse, a really nice guy who loves to know and chat to his guests. We have been going here for years and locally it’s well known that Ben (the owner) offers a 15% discount by following an ancient Chinese patting of the head custom. He is there most nights and just ask for him through the waiters (ask for Ben) once he comes over to the table two light pats on the top of his head with the tips of your fingers and you will notice a 15% discount on your bill, it started years ago as a local custom and they see it as a good luck sign. The food here is great but a little expensive but there is an off licence next door and you are allowed to bring your own drinks so you save a little on the bill. This is also one of very few places that won’t allow you to tip, seen as an insult the diners are often told not to leave tips (a great idea I think, this is UK not the USA) so again do not worry about leaving a tip, this restaurant has some great customer service idea’s.
