Just had three course meal at The Heron cafe. Excellent meal in a friendly atmosphere. Hosts Sean and Hazel made us very welcome. Good choice of menu and certainly value for money. We will be back.

Cracking food for the price. Set evening meal at £8.45 is excellent and even better if you are over 65 (men) or 60 (women) when it comes down to £6.95 for three courses. The pick where you want menu is also very good and be brave and ask for extra custard, you get it. Old fashioned style Cafe on the promenade with a good view of the trains going up and down to Barrow. Friendly atmosphere and people and first class service. Take your own bottle if you want to, no corkage charges. Well recommended but book.
