my wife and i popped in for a bite to eat and a drink and were sadly disappointed in what we were met with, whatever you do don’t have the steak. i like my steak rare but when a steak was placed in front of me that covered most of the plate but was about 3mm thick, i knew there was no way i was getting what i ordered. the people there were nice however the pub seemed to be trying to be something its not with flowers on the table i thought id walked into a gay bar (lol, it was the only gay bar in the village) A for effort but sadly an F for execution. so to summarise if you want to visit a traditional country pub that has poor food and a bit of a gay feel about it, the drax is the place for you. We won’t be making a return visit.
