Reviews of Travelodge Derby Pride Park, Derby

Best rates for a Local Hotel

I first stayed in this establishment when it was a Purple Hotel. The building is modern and well appointed. Under the Purple banner, the hotel was well maintained and the rooms serviced to a good standard on a daily basis. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of its operation in it's new guise as a Travelodge. Rooms are now serviced every other day or so. The lack of detail is evident in so much as even the most basic of tasks such as replacing toilet rolls was overlooked during my stay. Also if staying for a number of nights, be aware that this property uses a card entry system for the rooms. During my recent stay, the card needed re-programming every day. Considering the establishment is being run by the same staff as when it was a Purple Hotel, one can only imagine what instructions they are now working to. In summary, then this once excellent establishment is now no better than any other Travelodge, when its decor and facilities should make it a benchmark which all chains should be striving to achieve.
