i Recently stayed at the kierby hotel and was plesently suprised by the hotel yes it is a little dated but my room was lovely i booked a double and so did my sister i got a suite and she got a lovely double both had flat screen tvs and tea and coffee facilitys both rooms were lovely and clean and we were provided with a regular suplly of clean towels . . the hotel is under refurbishment . . while staying we did have a peep into the function rooms the large ball room is a lovely room and the board room is ideal for meetings the coctail bar isnt finished . . the staff were lovely and couldnt have been more helpful if i needed anything i just asked.. the onlt thing i thought the hotel could use was some kind of breakfast even if it was just cerials and toast and coffee . . i will use this hotel again and so will my sister and we will recommend it to friend and work collegues . . .Thankyou all aat the Keirby Inn

The hotel staff were not welcoming but agreed a price for B&B. The lift was antiquated and in a filthy condition and often stopped at the wrong floor. The room was small and cold with draughts disturbing the curtains throughout the night. The bathroom was gloomy and handbasin badly cracked. There was no bar and there does not appear to have been one for some time. On Sunday morning I was told that there was no food and no chef and so no breakfast. The receptionist said that she could give me a cup of tea and a slice of toast 'like a contionental breakfast'. She didn't say which continent! This hotel does not deserve two stars. Best suited as a dole hostel or for people one does not like. No refund available for lack of breakfast. No response from management despite written complaints. I find I am only one of many to complain. TICs should inspect before mentioning this dump in order to retain some credibility.
